The library at Grand Canyon University (GCU) has one hundred fifty databases and more that allows access to thousands of full text and peer-reviewed journals/articles. The two major databases I believe will assist me in finding the best research articles to support my evidenced-based practice (EBP) proposal are as follows:

• Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) EBP–is a database that is recognized as a global leader in evidence-based healthcare information. The JBI evidence-based practice (EBP) database includes more than three thousand records within seven publication types. These categories include Evidence Summaries, Evidence-Based Recommended Practices, Best Practice Information Sheets, Systematic Reviews, Consumer Information Sheets, Systematic Review Protocols and Technical Reports (Grand Canyon University [GCU], 2019).
• CINAHL Complete – is one of the strongest and most used databases for nursing. It offers research tools that access nursing and allied journals. It contains more than thirteen hundred journal titles and covers over fifty nursing specialties. Also, it offers continuing education modules, research instruments and evidence-based care sheets (Grand Canyon University [GCU], 2019).

While Google and Google Scholarly definitely offers a wealth of information, this sometimes is not worth spending the time sifting through the data. It does not offer the information needed by students who are looking for reliable material. It produces questions about the quality and authenticity of the information from search engines such as this one. Scholarly resources are the most beneficial to use in research such that it provides solid and trustworthy information.
