Respond to One of the following question areas:
1) Construct a “Sample Personal Dialectic.” See our Week Two Lecture for an example of what this looks like, and be sure to include each of the three parts of the dialectic. This personal dialectic may be taken from your own life or it may be hypothetical, as long as it clearly helps to explain the dialectical process. Don’t forget to cite/reference the Lecture and any other resources used!
2) Find and partially transcribe the lyrics to a song about social change (50 words or less). Explain the meanings of these lyrics using one of these theories as presented in Chapter Three of our text: Functionalist Theory, Conflict Theory, Interpretive Theory, Reconciling Agency and Structure (200 words or more). Don’t forget to cite/reference the text and any other resources used!
