CLC-SWOT MATRIX, BCG MATRIX, AND IE MATRIX 1 CLC-SWOT Matrix, BCG Matrix, and IE Matrix Celinna Cosio, Marc Couch, Hollie Delgado, Shahrah Sammeta, Raelene Sanders Grand Canyon University MGT-660 Maire Simington January 26, 2022 CLC-SWOT Matrix, BCG Matrix, and IE Matrix Shahrah’s part: The SWOT Matrix is a method that may be used to determine internal strengths and weaknesses. When dealing with a group of people, when the goal is to identify the group’s strengths and weaknesses, this matrix comes in handy. The BCG Matrix, the IE Matrix, and the analysis are all variations of the SWOT Matrix. The matrix’s vertical axis shows the group’s strengths and weaknesses, while the horizontal axis shows possibilities and dangers. The SWOT Matrix, BCG Matrix, and IE Matrix are three frameworks for examining a situation and determining what can be done to improve it. Strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and dangers are frequently identified using this method in business. The SWOT Matrix is a technique for making decisions based on limited data. It’s frequently used to determine a company’s or organization’s internal strengths and weaknesses. The SWOT strategic analysis model is a basic approach of looking at a corporation to understand where it is, where it wants to go, and how to get there. The model is frequently used in conjunction with the more complicated models established by the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and Internationale Erwin E. Steinhauer (IE), which take a more in-depth look at a firm. The SWOT, BCG, IE, and PEST are the four cornerstones of the strategic analysis framework. Internal, external, operational, and technological are the four components of the SWOT analysis. Below is the table (Table 1) that shows the SWOT we developed for Netflix. This table shows SO Strategies, ST Strategies, WO Strategies and WT Strategies. Table 1 Hollie’s part: We use this information and show it in a version with Threats. Part 2 – Develop a BCG/IE Matrix for your company Shahrah’s part: The SWOT and BCG matrices are two of the most widely used business models for analyzing a company’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. Another model used in strategic planning is the IE Matrix. Each model is designed to assist a company in identifying its primary competitive advantages and limitations, as well as determining the best course of action. Below Table 2, is the BCG Matrix for Netflix. The companies used in this comparison is Red Box for DVD, Hulu for United States and Japan, and Amazon Prime Video for Latin American. Marc’s Part: Table 2 Shahrah’s part: The Strategic Vision for the Future (or SWOT) Matrix, the Business Challenge Grid (or BCG) Matrix, and the Internal Environment (or IE) Matrix are all useful tools for figuring out where a company is now, what possibilities and difficulties it faces, and how it got there. Each tool represents a unique way of thinking about a company’s strategic environment, and each can offer a unique perspective on the company’s current position, future opportunities, and obstacles. Celinna’s Part: Table 3 Shahrah’s part: The Strategic Vision for the Future (or SWOT) Matrix, the Business Challenge Grid (or BCG) Matrix, and the Internal Environment (or IE) Matrix are all useful tools for figuring out where a company is now, what possibilities and difficulties it faces, and how it got there. Each tool represents a unique way of thinking about a company’s strategic environment, and each can offer a unique perspective on the company’s current position, future opportunities, and obstacles. Netflix has several chances and challenges, and each provides a different perspective that might help you comprehend the company’s issues and prospects. The SWOT Matrix is useful for determining the present status of a firm based on its strengths and weaknesses. The Business Challenge Grid (BCG) Matrix is useful for determining the current status of a company in terms of opportunities and risks. The Internal Environment (IE) Matrix is useful for determining the company’s present status. Group (Re) mediation Process A CLC member does not provide assignment ideas or feedback to team members. We would try to engage the group member one on one and try to understand some of the obstacles that the team member is experiencing and work together to come to a resolution. A CLC member does not complete any components of his/her task. We would work together to pick up any lack of participation. In the end if a team member does not do their part, the team would exclude their name as a participant, email the instructor to advise, and grade accordingly on peer review. A CLC member completes his or her task, but turns it in after the agreed-upon due date. Allow for time to review, in case that this situation happens. You must budget and plan for delays in any project. Other: Other: CLC Group Review Process (What makes a CLC effective?) What did our CLC do well this time?
